1358 — Ahmad ibn Yahyā al-Hulwānī also reported to us, saying: Ahmad ibn Abd Allāh ibn Yūnus narrated to us, saying: Abū Shihāb—meaning al-Hannāt—narrated to us, from Ismāʿīl ibn Abī Khālid, from al-Shaʿbī, that Alī—may Allah be pleased with him—said: “We did not consider it unlikely that divine tranquility would speak through Umar’s tongue—may Allah be pleased with him.”
