1346 — Abū Bakr Abd Allah ibn Muhammad al-Wāsitī narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ⦗1875⦘ ibn Rizq Allah al-Kalwadhānī narrated to us, saying: Abū Āmir al-Aqadī narrated to us, saying: Khārija ibn Abd Allah al-Ansārī narrated to me, from Nāfi, from Abd Allah ibn Umar, who said: The Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—said: “O Allah, strengthen Islam through whichever of these two men is more beloved to You: Umar ibn al-Khattāb or Abū Jahl ibn Hishām.” Of the two, Umar ibn al-Khattāb—may Allah be pleased with him—was more beloved to Allah, Mighty and Majestic.
١٣٤٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ ⦗١٨٧٥⦘ بْنُ رِزْقِ اللَّهِ الْكَلْوَذَانِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ الْعَقَدِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي خَارِجَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ , عَنْ نَافِعٍ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «اللَّهُمَّ أَعِزَّ الْإِسْلَامَ بِأَحَبِّ هَذَيْنِ الرَّجُلَيْنِ إِلَيْكَ , بِعُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ أَوْ بِأَبِي جَهْلِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ» فَكَانَ أَحَبَّهُمَا إِلَى اللَّهِ ﷿ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ
