And al-Firyābī narrated to us, saying: Abd al-A‘lā ibn Hammād narrated to us, saying: Wuhayb narrated to us, saying: Ayyūb narrated to us, from Abū Qilābah, who said: “No man ever introduces a religious innovation without coming to regard taking up the sword as lawful.”
