1334 — Abū Ja‘far Ahmad ibn Yahyā al-Hulwānī narrated to us, saying: Ahmad ibn Abdullāh ibn Yūnus narrated to us, saying: Mandal narrated to us, from al-A‘mash, from Atiyya al-Awfī, from Abū Sa‘īd al-Khudrī, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Those who occupy the highest ranks will be seen by those beneath them just as a rising star is seen on the horizon, among the horizons of heaven. Abū Bakr is among them, and Umar is among them—and what excellent men they are!”
