1328 — Abū al-Tayyib al-Husayn ibn Sālih al-Harawī also narrated to us: Alī ibn Dāwūd al-Qantarī narrated to us: Abd Allāh ibn Sālih—that is, al-Layth’s scribe—narrated to us: Al-Muallā ibn Hilāl narrated to us, from Layth, from Mujāhid, from Ibn Abbās, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Every prophet has two trusted confidants and two ministers. My two trusted confidants and ministers among the inhabitants of heaven ⦗1860⦘ are Gabriel and Michael, and my two trusted confidants and ministers among the inhabitants of earth are Abū Bakr and Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both.”
١٣٢٨ - وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الطَّيِّبِ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ الْهَرَوِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْقَنْطَرِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ يَعْنِي كَاتَبَ اللَّيْثِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعَلَّى بْنُ هِلَالٍ , عَنْ لَيْثٍ , عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ , عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «إِنَّ لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ أَمِينَيْنِ وَوَزِيرَيْنِ , فَأَمِينَايَّ وَوَزِيرَايَّ مِنْ أَهْلِ السَّمَاءِ ⦗١٨٦٠⦘ جِبْرِيلُ وَمِيكَائِيلُ , وَأَمِينَايَّ وَوَزِيرَايَّ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ ﵄»
