1325 — Abū Ja‘far Ahmad ibn Ishāq ibn al-Buhlūl also narrated to us. He said: My father narrated to me. He said: Samura ibn Hujr narrated to us. He said: Hamza ibn Abī Hamza al-Nasībī narrated to me, from Nāfi‘, from Ibn Umar, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—say, “I had indeed ⦗1857⦘ considered sending them to the nations, just as Jesus son of Mary sent the disciples.” They said, “O Messenger of Allah, why not send Abū Bakr and Umar? They are the best.” He replied, “They are indispensable. Their standing in this religion is like that of hearing and sight, and like that of the eye in the head.”
١٣٢٥ - وَحَدَّثَنَا أَيْضًا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ الْبُهْلُولِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سَمُرَةُ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي حَمْزَةُ بْنُ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ النَّصِيبِيُّ , عَنْ نَافِعٍ , عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: «لَقَدْ ⦗١٨٥٧⦘ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ أَبْعَثَهُمْ إِلَى الْأُمَمِ كَمَا بَعَثَ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ الْحَوَارِيِّينَ» فَقَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , أَلَا تَبْعَثُ أَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ؟ فَإِنَّهُمَا أَفْضَلُ فَقَالَ: «إِنَّهُمَا لَا غِنًى عَنْهُمَا , إِنَّهُمَا مِنْ هَذَا الدِّينِ بِمَنْزِلَةِ السَّمْعِ وَالْبَصَرِ , وَبِمَنْزِلَةِ الْعَيْنِ مِنَ الرَّأْسِ»
