1316 — Abū Saīd al-Mufaddal ibn Muhammad al-Jandī narrated to us in the Sacred Mosque, saying: Alī ibn Zayd al-Farā’idī narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Kathīr al-Sanānī narrated to us, from al-Awzāī, from Qatāda, from Anas, who said: The Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—said: “Abū Bakr and Umar are the leaders of the ⦗1850⦘ mature men among the people of Paradise, from the earliest and the later generations, except for the prophets and messengers.”

1317 — Ibn Makhlad al-Attār narrated to us, saying: al-Abbās ibn Abd Allah al-Tarqafī narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Kathīr al-Missīsī narrated to us, from al-Awzāī . . . and he mentioned the same hadith.
