1315 — Abū Muhammad Abd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn Nājiya informed us, saying: Wahb ibn Baqiyya al-Wāsitī narrated to us, saying: Umar ibn Yūnus al-Yamāmī narrated to us, from Abd Allah ibn Umar, from al-Hasan ibn Zayd ibn al-Hasan, who said: A group of men from Iraq came to him and said, “O Abū Muhammad, we have heard of a hadith that you narrate from Alī ibn Abī Tālib—may Allah be pleased with him—concerning Abū Bakr and Umar—may Allah be pleased with them both.” He replied, “Yes. My father narrated to me, from his father, from Alī ibn Abī Tālib—may Allah be pleased with him—who said: I was with the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—when Abū Bakr and Umar approached. He said, ‘O Alī, these two are the leaders of the mature men among the people of Paradise, after the prophets and messengers.’”
