1313 — And Abū Bakr Qāsim ibn Zakariyyā al-Mutarriz narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Amr ibn Abī Madhūr narrated to us, saying: Hushaym ibn Bashīr narrated to us, saying: Mālik ibn Mighwal narrated to us from al-Shabī; and Abū Ishāq, from al-Shabī, from al-Hārith, from Alī—may Allah be pleased with him—who said: Abū Bakr and Umar—may Allah be pleased with them both—approached the Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—each holding the other’s hand. When he saw them, he said, “These two are the leaders of the mature men among the people of Paradise, from the earliest generations to the latest, apart from the prophets and messengers. Do not tell them, O Alī.”
