1296 — Abū Ahmad Hārūn ibn Yūsuf also narrated to us, saying: Ibn Abī Umar narrated to us, saying: Sufyān ibn Uyayna narrated to us, from al-Zuhrī, from Anas ibn Mālik, who said:

The last time I saw the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—was on Monday. He drew back the curtain, and I looked upon his face; it was like a page of the Quran. The people were standing in rows behind Abū Bakr—may Allah be pleased with him—and Abū Bakr was leading them in prayer. He motioned to them, “Remain where you are.” Then he let the curtain fall and died toward the end of that day. May Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him.
