1281 — Abū Bakr Qāsim ibn Zakariyyā al-Mutarriz also narrated to us, saying: Ibrāhīm ibn Saʿīd al-Jawharī narrated to us, saying: ʿAffān ibn Muslim narrated to us, saying: Hammām narrated to us, saying: Thābit narrated to us, from Anas ibn Mālik, that Abū Bakr—may Allah be pleased with him—narrated to him, saying: I said to the Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—while we were in the cave, “If one of them were to look down at his feet, he would see us beneath them.” He replied, “O Abū Bakr, what do you think of two whose third is Allah?”
