1239—Ibn Makhlad also narrated to us, saying: Abū al-Abbās Muhammad ibn Abd ⦗1781⦘ al-Rahmān ibn Yūnus al-Sarrāj narrated to us, saying: Abd Allah ibn Muhammad—meaning Ibn Rabī'a—narrated to us, saying: Khālid ibn Abd Allah al-Wāsitī narrated to us, from Husayn ibn Abd al-Rahmān, from Abū Abd al-Rahmān al-Sulamī, who said: Alī ibn Abī Tālib—may Allah be pleased with him—led us in the night prayer during Ramadan. He said: Alī passed by some of the mosques of the people of Kufa while they were performing the night prayer, and said, “May Allah illuminate your grave, O Ibn al-Khattāb, just as you illuminated our mosques.”
