1226 — Abū al-Abbās Ahmad ibn Sahl al-Ashnānī narrated to us, saying: Al-Rabī ibn Thalab narrated to us, saying: Ismāīl ibn Ulayyah narrated to us, from Humayd al-Tawīl, who said: Anas ibn Mālik said: They said, “Love for Uthmān and Ali cannot coexist in a believer’s heart.” But they lied. Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has brought together love for them both in our hearts, praise be to Allah.
