1199 — Abū Abd Allah Muhammad ibn Makhlad al-Attār narrated to us, saying: al-Hasan ibn Arafa narrated to us, saying: Abū Muāwiya Muhammad ibn Khāzim al-Darīr narrated to us, from Abd al-Rahmān ibn ⦗1734⦘ Abī Bakr al-Qurashī, from Abd Allah ibn Abī Mulayka, from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), who said:

“When the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) became gravely ill, he said to Abd al-Rahmān ibn Abī Bakr, ‘Bring me a shoulder blade so that I may write a document concerning Abū Bakr, so that no disagreement will arise over him after me.’”

She continued: “When Abd al-Rahmān rose, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said, ‘Allah and the believers refuse to allow Abū Bakr to be disputed over.’”

Muhammad ibn al-Husayn (may Allah have mercy on him) said: It was just as the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) had said: there was no disagreement over Abū Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him). Rather, the Emigrants, the Ansār, Alī ibn Abī Tālib (may Allah be pleased with him), and Banū Hāshim all rallied to pledge allegiance to him. Praise be to Allah, to the humiliation of every subdued and abased Rāfidī. Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has absolved Alī ibn Abī Tālib, Commander of the Faithful (may Allah be pleased with him), of that evil doctrine.
