1146 – Abū al-‘Abbās Ahmad ibn Sahl al-Ushnānī also reported to us: al-Husayn ibn ‘Alī ibn al-Aswad al-‘Ijlī reported to us: Yahyā ibn Ādam reported to us: Abū Bakr ibn ‘Ayyāsh reported to us, from ‘Āsim ibn Abī al-Najūd, from Zirr ibn Hubaysh, from ‘Abd Allah, who said: “Allah, Glorious and Exalted, looked into the hearts of His servants and found the heart of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) to be the best of their hearts. He therefore chose him for Himself and sent him with His message. Then, after the heart of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), He looked into the hearts of His servants and found the hearts of his Companions to be the best of their hearts. He therefore made them the supporters of His Prophet, fighting for His religion. ⦗1677⦘ Whatever the believers deem good is good in the sight of Allah, and whatever they deem evil is evil in the sight of Allah.”
