1123 — Abū ʿAbd Allah al-Husayn ibn Muhammad ibn ʿUfair al-Ansārī narrated to us, saying ⦗1646⦘: ʿUthmān ibn Abī Shayba narrated to us, saying: ʿAbd Allah ibn Idrīs narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishāq, from ʿĀsim ibn ʿUmar ibn Qatāda, from Mahmūd ibn Labīd, from Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī, who said: The Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—said, “The Ansar are the inner garment, while the people are the outer garment. Were it not for the Migration, I would be one of the Ansar.”
