Indeed, it is the party of Allah alone who are successful.” [al-Mujādilah: 22]

It is said: Whoever loves Abū Bakr has upheld the religion; whoever loves Umar has made the path clear; whoever loves Uthmān has been illumined by the light of Allah—Mighty and Majestic is He; whoever loves Alī ibn Abī Tālib has grasped the firmest handhold; and whoever speaks well of the Companions of Muhammad—may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him—is free of hypocrisy.

Muhammad ibn al-Husayn—may Allah have mercy on him—said: Each one of them possesses virtues too numerous to count. May Allah benefit us through our love for them. He is indeed All-Hearing and Near. After this, if Allah wills, I shall mention the distinctions with which the Prophet—may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him—favored them.
