1110 — Abū Bakr ibn Abī Dāwūd also narrated to us, saying: Ishāq ibn Ibrāhīm ⦗1622⦘ al-Nahshalī, known as Shādhān, narrated to us, saying: Sufyān narrated to us, from al-Awzāʿī, from Ismāʿīl ibn Ubayd Allāh, from Alī ibn Abd Allāh ibn Abbās, from Ibn Abbās, who related that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: “I was shown all that would be conquered for my community, village by village, and this delighted me. Then the verses were revealed: ‘By the morning brightness, and by the night when it grows still’ [al-Duhā: 2], down to the words of Allah, majestic and exalted: ‘Your Lord will surely give to you, and you will be satisfied’ [al-Duhā: 5].” He said: “He was granted one thousand palaces of pearl, whose soil is musk; in each palace is what befits him.”
