1109 — Ibn Abī Dāwūd narrated to us, saying: Yahyā ibn Abd al-Rahīm al-Aʿmash narrated to us, saying: Amr ibn Hāshim narrated to us, saying: I heard al-Awzāʿī say: Ismāʿīl ibn Ubayd Allāh narrated to me, from Alī ibn Abd Allāh ibn Abbās, from his father, Abd Allāh ibn Abbās, who said: “The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was shown all that would be conquered for his community after him, village by village, and he rejoiced at this. Allah, majestic and exalted, then revealed: ‘Your Lord will surely give to you, and you will be satisfied’ [al-Duhā: 5]. He said: Allah, majestic and exalted, therefore granted him one thousand palaces in Paradise, and in each palace are the wives and servants befitting it.”
