1089 — Abū Muhammad ibn Sā‘id also narrated to us, saying: Al-Husayn ibn al-Hasan al-Marwazī narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Abī ‘Adī narrated to us, saying: Humayd narrated to us, from Anas, who said: The Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—said, “I entered Paradise and saw therein a river whose banks were lined with tents of pearl. I reached my hand into the channel through which the water flowed and found it to be intensely fragrant musk. I asked, ‘O Gabriel, what is this?’ He replied, ‘This is al-Kawthar, which Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has granted you.’”
