1074 — Al-Firyābī informed us. He said: I read to Abū Musab, copied from the original of his book, ⦗1590⦘ and read to him while he followed along in his book. I said: Abd al-Azīz ibn Abī Hāzim narrated to you, from Yazīd ibn al-Hād, from Thalaba ibn Abī Mālik, who said: A man from Banū Salama bought a camel with which to draw water and put it into the camel pen. The camel became aggressive and would strike anyone who tried to enter the pen. The Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—came and was told about it. He said, “Open the pen.” They replied, “O Messenger of Allah, we fear for you because of it.” He said, “Open the pen.” So they opened it. When the camel saw him, it fell down in prostration. The people said, “O Messenger of Allah, we had a greater right than this animal to prostrate ourselves before you.” He replied, “No. If it were fitting for any created being to prostrate itself before anything other than Allah, Mighty and Majestic, it would be fitting for a woman to prostrate herself before her husband.”

Muhammad ibn al-Husayn—may Allah have mercy on him—said: There is an extensive chapter on this subject concerning what the Companions witnessed from the Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him.
