1064 — Ibn Sāid said: Muhammad ibn Abd al-Malik ibn Zanjawayh also narrated to us, saying: Abū al-Numān Ārim narrated to us, saying: Hammād ibn Salama narrated to us, from Abd al-Rahmān ibn Abī Rāfi, from his paternal aunt Salmā, from Abū Rāfi, who said:
“The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) entered our home while we had a roasted sheep. He said, ‘Abū Rāfi, hand me the foreleg.’ I handed it to him, and he ate it. Then he said, ‘Abū Rāfi, hand me the foreleg.’ I handed it to him, and he ate it. Then he said, ‘Abū Rāfi, hand me the foreleg.’ I said, ‘Does a sheep have more than two forelegs?’ The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, ‘Had you remained silent, you would have given me as many as I asked for.’”
