1058 — Abū Ubayd Alī ibn al-Husayn ibn Harb, the judge, informed us, saying: Abū al-Ashath Ahmad ibn al-Miqdām narrated to us, saying: Khālid ibn al-Hārith narrated to us, saying: Saīd narrated to us, from Qatāda, from Anas ibn Mālik, who said:
“The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was brought a vessel containing water that did not ⦗1573⦘ cover his fingers—or scarcely covered them; Saīd was uncertain. The people began performing ablution, and water began springing from between his fingers.”
He said: “We asked Anas, ‘How many of you were there?’ He replied, ‘Approximately three hundred.’”
