1044 — Abū al-Qāsim also narrated to us, saying: Alī ibn al-Mundhir al-Tarīqī narrated to us, saying: Ibn Fudayl narrated to us, saying: Abū Mālik al-Ashja‘ī narrated to us, from Rib‘ī ibn Hirāsh, from Hudhayfa, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “We have been favored over all people in three respects: the entire earth was made a place of prayer for us; its soil was made a means of purification for us; and our rows were made like the rows of the angels. I was also given these verses from the end of ⦗1555⦘ Sūrat al-Baqara, from a treasure beneath the Throne. No one before me was given anything from it, nor will anyone after me be given anything from it.”
