1043 — Abū al-Qāsim Abd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn Abd al-Azīz al-Baghawī narrated to us, saying: Ya‘qūb ibn Ibrāhīm narrated to us, saying: Yahyā ibn Abī Bukayr narrated to us, saying: Zuhayr ibn Muhammad narrated to us, from Abd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn Aqīl, from Muhammad ibn Alī ibn al-Hanafiyya, who heard Alī (may Allah be pleased with him) say: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said ⦗1554⦘: “I have been granted what no other prophet was granted.” We asked, “What is it, O Messenger of Allah?” He replied: “I was granted victory through fear; I was given the keys of the earth; I was named Ahmad; dust was made a means of purification for me; and my nation was made the best of all nations.”
