1037 — Abū Saīd Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Ziyād also narrated to us, saying: Al-Utāridī narrated to us, saying: Yūnus ibn Bukayr narrated to us, from Ibn Ishāq, who said: Yaqūb ibn Utba narrated to me, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbās, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) recited these words of Umayya ibn Abī al-Salt:

A man and a bull beneath His right foot;
At the other, an eagle, and a lion standing watch.

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) then said, “He spoke the truth.”
