1019 — Abū Hafs Umar ibn Ayyūb al-Saqatī narrated to me: Abd al-A'lā ibn Hammād al-Narsī narrated to us, saying: Al-Mu'tamir ibn Sulaymān related it from Humayd, from Anas ibn Mālik, who said:

“The Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—had the finest stature of all people, the most handsome face, the finest complexion, the most pleasant scent, and the softest hands. I never smelled musk or ambergris more fragrant than he was, nor did I ever touch brocade or silk softer than his palm. He was of medium height, neither tall nor short, and his hair was neither curly nor straight. When he walked—I believe he said—he leaned forward—peace and blessings be upon him.”
