1017 — Hāmid ibn Shuayb al-Balkhī also narrated to us: Abū Bakr ibn Abī Shaybah narrated to us: Sharīk ibn Abd Allah narrated to us, from Abd al-Malik ibn Umayr, from Nāfi ibn Jubayr ibn Mutim, from Alī—may Allah be pleased with him—who described the Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—saying:

“He had a large head, a fair complexion tinged with red, a full beard, large joints, thick ⦗1495⦘ hands, and a long line of fine hair running from his chest to his navel. His head hair was abundant and gently wavy. He leaned forward as he walked, as though descending a slope. He was neither tall nor short. I never saw anyone like him, either before or after him—peace and blessings be upon him.”
