1012 — Abū Bakr ibn Abī Dāwūd also narrated to us, saying: Salamah ibn Shabīb and Khushaysh ibn Asram narrated to us, both saying: Abd al-Razzāq narrated to us, saying: Ma‘mar narrated to us, from al-Zuhrī, from Muhammad ibn Jubayr ibn Mut‘im, from his father, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say ⦗1487⦘: “I have several names: I am Muhammad; I am Ahmad; I am the Effacer, through whom Allah, glorified and exalted, effaces disbelief; I am the Gatherer, at whose feet the people will be gathered; and I am the Last.” Ma‘mar also narrated to us: I asked al-Zuhrī, “What is ‘the Last’?” He replied, “The one after whom there will be no prophet.”
