99 — Ahmad ibn Sahl also narrated to us, saying: Al-Husayn ibn Alī narrated to us, saying: Yahyā ibn Ādam narrated to us, saying: Thawbān narrated to us, from Hammād ibn Salama, from Yalā ibn Hakīm, from Saīd ibn Jubayr, who related a hadith from the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace). A man then said, “Allah Most High ⦗418⦘ says such and such in His Book.” He replied, “Do I see you setting the Book of Allah Most High against a hadith of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace)? The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) knew the Book of Allah Most High better.”
