998 — Abū Hafs Umar ibn Ayyūb al-Saqatī narrated to us: al-Hasan ibn Ahmad ibn Abī Shuayb al-Harrānī narrated to us: Miskīn ibn Bukayr narrated to us, from al-Masūdī, from Saīd ibn al-Marzubān—who was Abū Sad al-Baqqāl—from Saīd ibn Jubayr, from Ibn Abbās, concerning the words of Allah—Glorious and Majestic—: “We have sent you only as a mercy to all the worlds” [al-Anbiyā: 107]. He said: “Whoever believes in Allah and His Messenger will receive mercy in full in this world and the Hereafter; ⦗1476⦘ and whoever does not believe in Allah or His Messenger will be spared the immediate worldly punishment that used to befall the nations of the past.”
٩٩٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَفْصٍ عُمَرُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ السَّقَطِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي شُعَيْبٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مِسْكِينُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ , عَنِ الْمَسْعُودِيِّ , عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمَرْزُبَانِ وَهُوَ أَبُو سَعْدٍ الْبَقَّالُ , عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ , عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ ﷿: ﴿وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا رَحْمَةً لِلْعَالَمِينَ﴾ [الأنبياء: ١٠٧] قَالَ: «مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ , تَمَّتْ لَهُ الرَّحْمَةُ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ , ⦗١٤٧٦⦘ وَمَنْ لَمْ يُؤْمِنْ بِاللَّهِ وَلَا رَسُولِهِ , عُوفِيَ مِمَّا كَانَ يُصِيبُ الْأُمَمَ الْمَاضِيَةَ , مِنَ الْعَذَابِ فِي عَاجِلِ الدُّنْيَا»
