996 — Abū Ahmad Hārūn ibn Yūsuf al-Nājī, the merchant, narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Abī Umar al-Adanī narrated to us, saying: Sufyān narrated to us, from Āsim al-Ahwal, from Abd Allah ibn Sarjis, who said: “I saw what was on the back of the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—as though it were a clenched fist. Sufyān said, ‘Like a large cupping glass,’ meaning the seal between his shoulder blades—may Allah bless him and grant him peace.”
