989 — Al-Firyābī also narrated to us, saying: Abbās al-Anbarī narrated to us, saying: Abd al-Razzāq narrated to us, saying: Ma'mar informed us, from al-Zuhrī, from Abd Allah ibn Āmir, from Hāritha ⦗1469⦘ ibn al-Nu'mān, who said: “I passed by the Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—while a man was sitting with him, conversing with him there. I greeted him and then continued on. When I returned, the Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—was leaving, and he asked, ‘Did you see the man who was with me?’ I replied, ‘Yes, O Messenger of Allah.’ He said, ‘That was Gabriel, and he returned your greeting of peace.’”
