95 — And Abū al-Abbās Ahmad ibn Sahl al-Ushnānī narrated to us, saying: al-Husayn ibn Alī ibn al-Aswad al-Ijlī narrated to us, saying: Yahyā ibn Ādam narrated to us, saying: Sufyān ibn Uyayna narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir, from Sālim Abū ⦗414⦘ al-Nadr, from Ubayd Allāh ibn Abī Rāfi, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—said: “Let me not find any one of you reclining upon his couch when a command of mine reaches him concerning something I have commanded or forbidden, only for him to say, ‘We do not know. Whatever we find in the Book of Allah Most High, we follow.’”
٩٥ - وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الْأُشْنَانِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ الْعِجْلِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ أَبِي ⦗٤١٤⦘ النَّضْرِ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: " لَا أَعْرِفَنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ مُتَّكِئًا عَلَى أَرِيكَتِهِ، يَأْتِيهِ الْأَمْرُ مِنْ أَمْرِي، مِمَّا أَمْرَتُ بِهِ، أَوْ نَهَيْتُ عَنْهُ فَيَقُولَ: لَا نَدْرِي، مَا وَجَدْنَا فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى اتَّبَعْنَاهُ "
