953 — Abū Muhammad ibn Sā'id narrated to us, saying: Abū Ubayd Allah al-Makhzūmī narrated to us, saying: Sufyān ibn Uyaynah narrated to us, from Ibn Abī Najīh, from Mujāhid, regarding ⦗1414⦘ the words of Allah Most High, “And We raised your renown for you” [al-Sharh: 4]. He said: “I am never mentioned without you being mentioned with Me: ‘I testify that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, and I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.’”
