944 — Abū Bakr ibn Muhammad ibn Abd al-Hamīd al-Wāsitī narrated to us, saying: Zayd ibn Akhzam narrated to us, saying: Abd al-Rahmān ibn Mahdī narrated to us, from Mansūr ibn Sad, from Budayl, from Abd Allah ibn Shaqīq, from Maysara al-Fajr, who said: I asked, “O Messenger of Allah, when were you a Prophet?” He replied, “While Adam was between the spirit and the body.”
٩٤٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ الْوَاسِطِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ أَخْزَمَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ , عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ , عَنْ بُدَيْلٍ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ , عَنْ مَيْسَرَةَ الْفَجْرِ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ: مَتَى كُنْتَ نَبِيًّا؟ قَالَ: «وَآدَمُ بَيْنَ الرُّوحِ وَالْجَسَدِ»
