Chapter: Mention of the Great Honor with Which Allah, Mighty and Majestic, Described His Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) in His Book, Bringing Joy to the Eyes of the Believers

Muhammad ibn al-Husayn (may Allah have mercy upon him) said:

Know—may Allah have mercy upon us and you—that Allah, exalted be His mention, honored His Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) with the highest honor, described him in the finest terms, portrayed him with the most beautiful qualities, and raised him to the loftiest ranks. Our Generous Lord informed us that He sent him as a bearer of glad tidings and a warner, one who calls to Allah by His permission, and a radiant lamp. Allah, Mighty and Majestic, said:

“O Prophet, We have sent you as a witness, a bearer of glad tidings, and a warner; one who calls to Allah by His permission, and a radiant lamp. Give the believers glad tidings that they shall receive a great bounty from Allah.” [al-Ahzāb: 46]

He, Mighty and Majestic, also said:

“Indeed, We have sent you with the truth as a bearer of glad tidings and a warner. There has been no nation among whom a warner did not pass.” [Fātir: 24]

Muhammad ibn al-Husayn said:

Thus, he (peace and blessings be upon him) cautioned, warned, and gave glad tidings, neglecting nothing. Our Generous Lord then informed us that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was the answer to the prayer of his forefather Abraham (peace be upon him) and the prayer of Abraham’s son Ishmael (peace be upon him),
