936 – Abū Jaʿfar Muhammad ibn Sālih ibn Dharīh al-ʿUkbarī informed us, saying: Hannād ibn al-Sarī narrated to us, saying: ʿAbīda ibn Humayd narrated to us, from Humayd al-Tawīl, from ⦗1366⦘ Anas, who said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: “I entered Paradise and saw therein a river whose banks were lined with tents of pearl. I plunged my hand into its watercourse, and there was intensely fragrant musk. I said, ‘O Gabriel, what is this?’ He replied, ‘This is al-Kawthar, which Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has granted you.’”
