934 – Abū Bakr Jaʿfar ibn Muhammad al-Firyābī informed us, saying: ʿAbd al-Aʿlā ibn Hammād al-Narsī narrated to us, saying: Yazīd ibn Zurayʿ narrated to us, saying: Saʿīd ibn Abī ʿArūba narrated to us, from Qatāda, that Anas ibn Mālik informed them that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, ⦗1365⦘ said: “While I was walking in Paradise, a river appeared before me, its banks lined with domes of hollow pearls. The angel said, ‘Do you know what this is? This is al-Kawthar, which your Lord has granted you.’ He then struck its bed with his hand and brought forth musk from its clay.”
