928 — Umar ibn Ayyūb al-Saqatī also narrated to us. He said: al-Hasan ibn Arafa narrated to us. He said: Abbād ibn Abbād al-Muhallabī narrated to us, from Hishām ibn Ziyād, from Yahyā ibn Abd ⦗1358⦘ al-Rahmān, from Atā, from Ibn Abbās, who said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:

“Indeed, Allah, Mighty and Majestic, created Paradise white, and the attire most beloved to Allah, Mighty and Majestic, is white. So let each of you wear white, and shroud your dead in it.”
