912 — Abū Bakr Muhammad ibn Hārūn al-Askarī narrated to us. He said: Ibrāhīm ibn al-Junayd al-Khuttalī narrated to us. He said: Muhammad ibn al-Husayn narrated to us. He said: Yahyā ibn Ishāq narrated to me. He said: Umāra ibn Zādhān al-Saydalānī narrated to us, from Yazīd al-Raqāshī, who said:

“When Adam (peace be upon him) had wept for Paradise for a long time, he was asked about it. He replied: ‘I weep over the loss of dwelling near my Lord, exalted and majestic, in an abode whose soil is fragrant and where I used to hear the voices of the angels.’” ⦗1347⦘

Muhammad ibn al-Husayn (may Allah have mercy on him) said: We shall mention some of the established reports affirming that Allah, exalted and majestic, has created Paradise and Hell and has prepared in each of them whatever He willed for its inhabitants—reports that the scholars do not reject. All praise is due to Allah for that.
