906 — Abū Muhammad Yahyā ibn Muhammad ibn Sāid narrated to us. He said: Humayd ibn Ayyāsh al-Ramlī narrated to us. He said: Muammal ibn Ismāīl narrated to us. He said: Mubārak narrated to us, from al-Hasan, who said: Aisha—may Allah be pleased with her—said:
While the Messenger of Allah was in my lap, I thought of how close he was to me in this world and how people would be set far apart by their deeds in the Hereafter, and I began to weep. He asked me, “What makes you weep, O Aisha?”
I replied, “I thought of how close you are to me in this world and how people will be set far apart ⦗1337⦘ by their deeds in the Hereafter. Will you remember your family on the Day of Resurrection, O Messenger of Allah?”
He replied, “As for three situations: when the records fly forth and it is said, ‘Here, read my record!’ no one will remember anyone else until he knows whether he will be given his record in his right hand or his left. When deeds are placed in the Scale, no one will remember anyone else until he knows whether his Scale will prove heavy or light. And when people are brought onto the Bridge, no one will remember anyone else until he knows whether he will be saved or not.”
