893 — Abū Abd Allah Muhammad ibn Makhlad al-Attār narrated to us, saying: Abū ⦗1326⦘ Jafar Muhammad ibn Muhammad ibn Saīd narrated to us, saying: My father narrated to me, saying: My paternal uncle narrated to me, from his father, from his grandfather, from Ibn Abbās, concerning the words of Allah, Mighty and Majestic: “There is none among the People of the Scripture but will surely believe in him before his death” [al-Nisāʾ 4:159]. He explained: “Some among the People of the Scripture will still be alive when Jesus, son of Mary, is sent forth; they will believe in him, and on the Day of Resurrection he will be a witness against them.”
