889 — Abū Ahmad Yūsuf ibn Hārūn ibn Yūsuf ibn Ziyād narrated to us, saying: Ibn Abī Umar narrated to us, saying: Sufyān narrated to us, from al-Zuhrī, from Sa‘īd ibn al-Musayyib, from Abū Hurayra, that the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said:

“The son of Mary will soon descend as a just judge and equitable leader. He will smash the cross, kill swine, abolish the jizya, and cause wealth to overflow until no one will accept it.”

Muhammad ibn al-Husayn (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Those who will fight alongside Jesus son of Mary (peace be upon him) are the nation of Muhammad (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), while those who will fight against Jesus are the Jews who accompany the Antichrist. Jesus will kill the Antichrist, and the Muslims will kill the Jews. Jesus (peace be upon him) will then die, and the Muslims will perform the funeral prayer over him. He will be buried alongside the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), Abū Bakr, and Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both).
