54 – al-Ḥusayn narrated to us; he said: ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; he said: Khalaf ibn Hishām narrated to us; he said: Ḥammād ibn Zayd narrated to us, from Yūnus, from Abū al-ʿAlāʾ ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Shikhkhīr, from a man of Banū Sulaym—whom I think had seen the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)—who raised the report, saying: “Indeed, Allah tests His servant through what He has granted him. Whoever is content with what Allah has allotted him, Allah blesses it for him and makes it abundant; but whoever is not content, it will receive no blessing for him.”
