“There was a man stricken with leprosy living among the ruined quarters of the tribes in Egypt. A young Egyptian used to visit him regularly, tend to him, wash his cloth bandage, and serve him. Another youth from Egypt heard about this and said to the one who attended him, ‘I have been told that he knows Allah’s Greatest Name, and I would like to come with you to see him.’
“They went to him. The newcomer greeted him and said, ‘Uncle, it has reached me that you know Allah’s Greatest Name. Would you not ask Him to remove what afflicts you?’
“He replied, ‘My nephew, it is He who has tested me with this, and I would hate to send it back.’”
