1 – Saʿid ibn Sulayman al-Wasiti related to us, from Mansur ibn Abi al-Aswad, from al-Hasan ibn ʿUbayd Allah, from Thaʿlaba al-Basri, who said:

Anas ibn Malik told us, “I am going to narrate a report to you that no one after me will recount for you. We were sitting with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when he laughed and asked, ‘Do you know what made me laugh?’ They replied, ‘Allah and His Messenger know best.’ He said, ‘I am amazed at the believer; Allah—Mighty and Exalted—never decrees anything for him except that it is good for him.’”
