74 – al-Ḥusayn narrated to us and said: ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; he said: Muḥammad ibn Idrīs narrated to me; he said: Rawḥ ibn ʿAbd al-Wāḥid al-Ḥarrānī narrated to us; he said: Khulayḍ ibn Daʿlaj, on the authority of al-Ḥasan, reported:

“Allah revealed to Jesus, peace be upon him: ‘Tell the Children of Israel to guard two teachings on My behalf: first, that they accept the meanness of this world so long as their religion is safe, just as the people of the world have accepted the meanness of religion to preserve their worldly interests.’”
