32 – Al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān related to me, through ʿAmr ibn ʿAbd al-Malik al-Baṣrī, who said: I heard Abū ʿAmr ibn al-ʿAlāʾ say that Muʿāwiyah declared, “I would never be pleased to exchange noble character for a herd of red camels.”
