21 – Ibrāhīm ibn Saʿīd al-Jawharī narrated to us; ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb narrated to us; Bishr ibn al-Mufaḍḍal narrated to us, from Qurrah, from Abū Jamrah, from Ibn ʿAbbās, that the Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—said to al-Ashajj ʿAbd al-Qays:

“You possess two qualities that Allah loves: forbearance and calm deliberation.”
